Competition Link Marketing Analysis
Google is the first search engine which added value to a link given on a website for assessing the worthiness of a web page. This was the key philosophy in developing its Page Rank algorithm. When ranking search results, do google and yahoo take into account the path and html file name? I’m adding new copyrighted content for publishers and artists. I’ve decided to make the content into static html. The content is stored in a DB. I was wondering whether I should place and name the static html according to the DB’s identification, or the actual publisher and artist name. For example, for publisher ID 1 and artist ID 5, which gets better ranking
1- URL http://www.mycompany.com /new/publisher/ 1/5/index7.html
or
2- URL http://www.mycompany.com /new/ publisher/ XYZStudios/ I_AM_A_FAMOUS_ARTIST/ page7.html

You can use http://www.mycompany.com / XYZStudios/ I_AM_A_FAMOUS_ARTIST/ page7.html
No need to add publisher, New classification in Url, you can maintain that in the site.
Or other way is rewrite Urls as in
http://www.mycompany.com / XYZStudios-FAMOUS-ARTIST-1.html
http://www.mycompany.com / XYZStudios-FAMOUS-ARTIST-2.html

Hello,
The basic methodology to be used is, Google has indexed almost all popular portals of the web, in fact a some billion pages on internet.
A) Taking this sample size you can run queries on Google’s data base to generate list of web-pages which contain the links of your competitor website.
B) Once this is done, you can extract the content from each of the web-pages
C) Run a sorter, parser, to extract the right data you need from these pages.
D) Run the program in loop to find back links of those pages which link to your competitor domain.
E) Never stop with back links, even find Forward links (Outgoing)
G) Stop at 2nd level.
